The 2005 vintage throughout France has been compared to the great 1959 and the 1929 vintages.
We have had the opportunity to taste a number of these new wines which are quite superb. The interesting characteristic which runs through all of them is the massive amount of fruit and the wonderfully soft tannins. The sweetness from perfectly ripe grapes and the gentle acidity gives them great balance.
