This wine is made from 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. In order to make the wine as naturel as possible the vines are not treated with any weed-killers so the vineyards are ploughed. Philippe also uses manure as an alternative to chemical fertilisers.
The grapes are machine-harvested at night and then are completely de-stalked. They undergo a cold maceration prior to fermentation with the best free-run juice being chosen. They are then pneumatically pressed and fermented at cold temperatures.
The wine is bright deep pink in colour.On the nose there are delicate aromas of red fruits, pear drops and apple blossom.The taste fine and elegant with a good long and lively finish and flavours of sweet fruits.
