This is a wine from a very old chateau which was established nearly 150 years ago. The vineyard is situated a sandy-clayey outcrop as all the best wines are of Pomerol. It is made from the Merlot grape (82%) with some Cabernet Franc (17%) and Malbec (1%). This is lovely silky and opulent. It can be drunk now with a least 2 hours breathing but should be laid down until 2012 £24.75
